Walk to Ledston Hall

 

Some amazing artwork done by children in Gascoigne and Hastings Classes after their walk up to Ledston Hall this morning! Fabulous mastery of water colours!They learnt about the geography of the area, the history of Ledston Hall and the courage and bravery of the founder of our school........ Lady Elizabeth Hastings. Great new playground markings from Magical Markings! Thank you to Bipin and his team who worked tirelessly all day Tuesday and Wednesday to complete this project. Thank you to LEAP for providing funds....... the children love it!!

Bushtucker Trials

 

Children in The Ark took part in a Bushtucker Trial today. The idea was to encourage them to try and taste new and unfamiliar foods that they had not previously considered trying. They also had fun trying to guess the colour of an unusual fruit by taste alone, whilst being blindfolded! Thank you, Karen Smith (Food Technologist) and Lizzie Greenwood (Graduate) for helping us to learn so much about healthy eating and for helping us to be more adventurous in our food choice!
